If you wish to access public data using pshell then you will need to slightly modify the usual login procedure as follows:
portal:> remote public
public:> login
Username: public
Password: public
public:> ls
list of public projects...In this mode, you will have read-only permission to access data that has been explicitly published by the project owner(s).
