Lets get Started 

We have a website interface to our data storage system.  This is intended as a light weight interface for small scale data management work,


Exercises

Exercise 1 - Navigate and inspect data with Data Portal

Perform the following:

  • login to the Data Portal,
  • navigate Data portal 
  • search for files (including wild card search)
  • discover allocation size

Perform the following:

  • select file to upload
  • download data

Exercise 3 - Managing data with Data Portal 

Perform the following:
  • Make a file public
  • Move file 
  • Move folder
  • add user to project? (is this possible) - no , see below
  • change permissions to user in project? (is this possible) (no - they would need admin role for the project... I'm giving them readonly to Data Team/ and readwrite, but not admin, to Demo/)
  • discover changes via log
