The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre provides the capabilities for building, archiving utilising, and sharing research collections in the form of managed storage allocations. Access to this service is via a merit based application process. These services are backed by high performance data storage with utilisation tools provided by the Mediaflux storage management platform.

Our resource capabilities consist of two flavours:

  • warm tier - intended to support scalable responsive workflows,
  • cool tier - intended to support workflows involving large datasets and infrequent access patterns.

Pawsey users have several storage options:

  • project storage - a 1TB (expandable to 10TB) shared allocation automatically available to all active Pawsey projects,
  • private storage - a personal 100GB allocation automatically available to individual members of active Pawsey projects.
  • managed storage - any other storage request; for which we require a submission via the Application Portal.
