Pawsey Summer Internship
- Do you like a challenge?
- Are you interested in research?
- Are you interested in building technical skills, while using the most powerful public research supercomputer in Australia (and the Southern Hemisphere)?
The Pawsey Summer Internship Program enables students to develop skills in computational science by giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in advanced computing research projects, being supervised by leading researchers.
The internships are open to 3rd year, higher undergraduate students (including honours) and Masters students at Australian higher education institutions looking to complement their discipline knowledge with hands-on experience using the leadership class computing resources at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre.

Learn@Pawsey
Pawsey receives numerous requests for high school student incursions and excursions. To scale our outreach efforts, Pawsey has created Learn@Pawsey (learn.pawsey.org.au).
The goal of Learn@Pawsey is to immerse students into a world data through topics and surveys of interest to them, such as sleep and space. Data is created from students and analysed by students to build skills in one or more of Maths, Digital Technologies, Science, Health, Integrated Studies, and more.
The data is about the students. And because the data is real, the students' questions about the data are real.
Learn@Pawsey has partnered with schools and scientists to create scientists' videos and a variety of teachers' resources, including ideas for activities and assessments (in alignment with Australian curricula). Additionally, students can explore the world of graphs (and soon, python coding). Stay tuned, as the site continues to grow!
