File Management

There are different filesystems and object storage systems on Pawsey supercomputers that are accessible. Like supercomputers, each of these systems is a shared resource with certain limitations and usage policies. None of these systems is meant for permanent storage of data.

The first topics in this section give detailed descriptions of the Pawsey filesystems and their respective usage policies, tools required for transferring files between your own local storage resources and Pawsey filesystems, planning the workflow of your data, and important purging policy of temporary filesystem space. Final topics give an overview of the use of the project object storage in Acacia, the object storage system at Pawsey. Links to detailed documentation about the use of Acacia are also given.
