We have a website interface to our data storage system. This is intended as a light weight interface for small scale data management work.
Exercises
Exercise 1 - Navigate and inspect data with Data Portal
Perform the following:
- login to the Data Portal,
- navigate Data portal
- search for files (including wild card search)
- discover allocation size
Exercise 2 - Upload and download using Data Portal
Perform the following:
- select file to upload
- download data
Exercise 3 - Managing data with Data Portal
Perform the following:
- Make a file public
- Move file
- Move folder
- add user to project? (is this possible) - no , see below
- change permissions to user in project? (is this possible) (no - they would need admin role for the project... I'm giving them readonly to Data Team/ and readwrite, but not admin, to Demo/)
- discover changes via log
