The operating system of Setonix is CrayOS, which is based on sles15sp2the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server operating system. The supercomputer comes with key software packages optimised by the vendor for the HPE Cray EX architecture. It is accessible through the module system, like any other software installed system-wide; however, the Pawsey staff relies on the vendor for its maintenance.
