This service covers a variety of potential use cases including project storage requirements that exceed the 10TB maximum as well as other collaborative projects that may require the dissemination of research data. As Pawsey is publicly funded, the high-level metadata for approved managed storage allocations (description, FoR codes, etc) will be publicly available according to FAIR principles. Managed storage is also subject to periodic reviews to ensure Pawsey capacity is being efficiently utilised. While we encourage the data itself to eventually be made available (under appropriate licensing) to the broader research community, access is private by default and under the control of the project owner.
